Warm welcome to the Watch Tower guest suite! £100 per night, including breakfast, or £75 for single use. Attractive bedroom, which can be twin or double. En-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi and tiles of Dungeness. Conservatory with stunning views and sunsets. The door opens directly onto the patio and garden. You may come and go as you please, day and night, with your own key. We live in the other half of the house, with our own entrance.

We do not operate the online calendar.

Vegetarian, substantial and delicious breakfast in the privacy of the suite, either put out the night before so you're entirely private, or brought through by personal service in the morning. You choose!

The suite is warm and cosy in winter. We provide fridge, toaster, kettle, egg boiler, teas, coffees, de-caff, Pukka teas, hot chocolate, and Marmite, and you can bring your own picnic food. And there is great pub food and beers just three minutes’ walk away.

The beds have comfortable medium-firm mattresses, plus white, Egyptian cotton bed linen and hypo-allergenic duvets and pillows (firm and soft), and lovely woollen blankets.
Being in the bright conservatory-living room is like being in open Dungeness but in the warm and dry. It's so relaxing, guests don't want to leave!

WARNING. If you are ALLERGIC to cat fur, we are sorry but we cannot guarantee that there is no cat fur at all in the Suite.

Babies are very welcome and we make no charge for babies up to age 3 - but please bring your baby's own bedding and food.

Most dogs are very welcome but may we please discuss them beforehand - there are cats around. We make no charge for dogs.

We provide free, off-the-road parking.

Smokers are very welcome to smoke in the garden.

We are open every day of the year. All seasons on Dungeness have a particular charm. Summer brings a brilliant array of red poppies and blue-mauve viper’s bugloss amid one third of all British wildflower species. Or come in winter for its huge, pink-tinted skies. Spring and autumn bring migrating birds of course. The sea is wonderful at all times and Dungeness even in the fog is satisfyingly mysterious.
Do note that the Watch Tower is lovely for a Christmas or New Year break. For Christmas lunch or New Year’s Eve dinner, there are good restaurants a half hour drive away (in Rye and other places), or Christmas lunch at Demetrios Greek/English restaurant three miles away. Booking meals for the festive days or evenings is essential. The Pilot Inn and Demetrios also serve food during this season but you would need to check precisely when. Alternatively, why not bring your own cold food or we are happy to microwave simple meals for you in this season.

We are five minutes on foot from the beach (great swimming) and the famous Pilot Inn. We are in walking (or short driving) distance of Derek Jarman’s cottage, the superb Snack Shack, the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway, the Old Lighthouse, Dungeness Bird Observatory, the RSPB Dungeness Nature Reserve, the Britannia Inn, and Demetrios Greek restaurant. We are in easy driving distance of Rye, Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, Hastings, Hythe, Folkestone, Port Lympne Zoo, Great Dixter, and many other attractions.
Dungeness is an artists, photographers, and nature-lovers dream. A holiday here is perfect for birdwatchers, and also walkers, cyclists, swimmers, and kite-surfers, Further, this is a Dark Skies place and wonderful for star-gazing.
It’s great for wildflower enthusiasts (with 2/3 of British wildflower species) and moth-ers (with 2/3 of British moth species plus cross-Channel migrants). Our land is suitable for moth traps. Look out too for butterflies, dragonflies, damselflies, and bumblebees - see www.bumblebeeconservation.org

Please note that generally we are happy to accept bookings for one night only, except for the Easter & August Bank Holiday weekends when a minimum of two nights is required. Also, we may impose a minimum two-night stay at other times of the year if, for instance, our calendar is top-heavy with one-nighters.

FINALLY, please treat Dungeness itself with respect!
